Calino and Zoom

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Calino can create Zoom meetings for you automatically. Connect your Zoom account once, then choose Zoom as the location for a booking link or for an event you create in your Calino calendar. Calino creates the meeting in your Zoom account and puts the join link where you and your guests need it.

What Calino can and cannot do with your Zoom account

Calino asks Zoom for four permissions:

PermissionWhat it lets Calino do
meeting:write:meetingCreate a Zoom meeting in your account when a booking is confirmed or you save an event with Zoom as the location.
meeting:update:meetingMove that same meeting when a booking or event changes time.
meeting:delete:meetingDelete that meeting when a booking is cancelled, an event is deleted, or you change the location away from Zoom.
user:read:userRead your Zoom account ID and email once, so Calino can show which account is connected.

Calino does not ask for administrator permissions. It does not read your recordings, contacts, chat or other meetings.

Before you start

  • A Calino account (you sign in with a one-time code emailed to you).
  • A Zoom account that you are allowed to create meetings in.
  • For booking links: a connected Google or Microsoft calendar in Calino, because each booking is added to one of your calendars.
  • Limits that depend on your Zoom plan are set by Zoom.
  • If anything goes wrong, see Troubleshooting.

Adding the app: connect Zoom to Calino

  1. Sign in to Calino and open Integrations from the navigation.
  2. On the Zoom card, click Connect Zoom Account.
  3. If you are not signed in to Zoom, Zoom asks you to sign in. Use the Zoom account that should own your meetings.
  4. Zoom shows the permissions Calino requests. Review them and click Allow.
  5. You are returned to Integrations. The Zoom card shows your Zoom email and a Connected badge.
  • You can connect one Zoom account at a time. Connecting a different one replaces the previous connection.
  • To connect a different Zoom account than the one your browser is signed in to, first log out of Zoom (the Zoom card links to Zoom's logout page), then click Connect again.
  • If you click Cancel on Zoom's screen, nothing is connected and Calino shows an authorization message.
  • Trouble connecting? See Troubleshooting.

Using the app

Zoom for booking links

  1. Open Booking Links, then create a booking link or edit an existing one.
  2. In Location, choose Zoom. Zoom appears in the list only when a Zoom account is connected. With one connected account it is selected automatically.
  3. Save the link.

When someone books:

  • The booking page tells your guest the meeting is on Zoom and that the link is sent after booking. It does not show your Zoom email.
  • A short time after the booking is confirmed (it is processed in the background), Calino creates the Zoom meeting, adds the join link to the event in your calendar, and emails the join link to your guest. You also receive a copy of the join link by email.
  • The Zoom meeting is titled with your booking link's name and your guest's name, and has the booked start time and length.
  • Rescheduling: when a guest reschedules using the link in their email, Calino moves the same Zoom meeting to the new time, so the join link stays the same.
  • Cancelling: when a booking is cancelled using the link in the email, Calino removes the calendar event and deletes the Zoom meeting.

Zoom for events you create yourself

  1. In your Calino calendar, create an event (or edit one).
  2. Set Location to Zoom and save.
  3. Open the event. A Join Zoom button appears.

Changing the time of the event moves the same Zoom meeting. Changing the location away from Zoom deletes the Zoom meeting and removes the link from the event. Deleting the event deletes the Zoom meeting.

Troubleshooting

What you seeWhat it means and what to do
Zoom is not in the Location listThere is no active Zoom connection. Open Integrations and click Connect Zoom Account (or Connect / Reconnect if one is listed).
The Zoom card says Reconnect neededZoom rejected Calino's access (for example you removed Calino in Zoom, or the grant expired). Click Reconnect and allow access again. Calino also emails you when this happens.
A booking was confirmed but has no Zoom linkCalino could not create the Zoom meeting (for example the Zoom account was disconnected). The booking and calendar event still exist, and the confirmation email says the link could not be created. Reconnect Zoom, then add the meeting another way or ask the guest to rebook.
A cancelled booking's Zoom meeting is still in ZoomCalino could not delete it. This happens if Zoom was disconnected at the time, or Zoom returned an error. Delete it in Zoom directly.
You connected the wrong Zoom accountLog out of Zoom, then click Disconnect in Calino and Connect again with the right account.
Zoom asks for permissions you do not recognizeClose the window and contact support. Calino requests only the four permissions listed above.

Still stuck? Contact support.

Removing the app

To remove Calino completely, disconnect it in Calino, which also asks Zoom to revoke its access, and, if you want, remove it from your Zoom account as well.

Disconnect Zoom in Calino

  1. Open Integrations, go to the Zoom card, click Disconnect, and confirm.
  2. The badge changes to Disconnected. Calino asks Zoom to revoke its access and deletes the access tokens it stored.

Revoke Calino's authorization in Zoom

You can also remove the app from your Zoom account yourself: open the Zoom App Marketplace, click My Library (bottom left), find the Calino row, click the three dots on it, and click Remove. After that, Calino can no longer act on your Zoom account. If Calino later tries to create a meeting, the Zoom card shows Reconnect needed.

While Zoom is disconnected, Calino cannot create new Zoom meetings. A booking link set to Zoom still confirms bookings, but no Zoom meeting is created and the email says the link could not be created. Booking links keep their Zoom setting, so they work again as soon as you reconnect.

Your data after disconnecting

Calino deletes your Zoom access tokens. If you remove Calino in Zoom, Zoom notifies Calino, which also deletes the Zoom account ID and email it stored. If you only disconnect inside Calino, it keeps that account ID and email so reconnecting restores your booking links. In both cases it keeps the Zoom meeting IDs and links already saved with your bookings and events. To ask for your data to be deleted, see the Privacy Policy or contact support.

Reconnect Zoom

  1. On the Zoom card click Connect (or Reconnect).
  2. Allow access on Zoom. Zoom may show the permission screen again or reuse your earlier approval.
  3. The card shows Connected again. Calino reuses your existing connection, so booking links that were set to Zoom work again without editing them.
